Taxis go smokefree

20 April 2007

More than 1,600 cabbies in Birmingham have signed a voluntary agreement to go smokefree, even though the law does not come into effect until July 1. The agreement was drawn up by the Smokefree Birmingham Coalition as part of its countdown to the national ban.

Each driver signing up to the scheme receives stickers and posters they display in their vehicles.
